(Brown portion appears on the pages for both Eeth, and Depa Billaba.)
After making a page honoring Darth Vader, I thought it only appropriate to also make tributes to my two favorite Jedi Masters, Depa Billaba and Eeth Koth.
Depa and Eeth have always gone together to me. I discovered them the same way, at the same time, they're my two favorite Jedi of all time, and they even sat right next to each other on the Jedi Council! Even most of what I have to say about them appears on both of their pages. But to lump them both into one "tribute" page would be insulting to both of them. So I have created a page for each of them, because they deserve to be respected separately. Depa Billaba and Eeth Koth were both members of the Jedi Council in the last days of the Order, and the Old Republic. Though Depa had a serious, scarring incident on Haruun Kal 6 months into the war, and neither one of them sat on the Council anymore, they are believed to have been members of the Order until its very last days. Both Depa and Eeth were presumed killed in the Jedi Purge, but proof of this has not been found. And I have my own ideas of what happened to them. Perhaps someday, you will be able to read these ideas, but for now, let's just say that Depa and Eeth are still out there somewhere. I can feel it. A long time ago, I acquired a game called "A Jedi's Path," which was based, fittingly, upon a Jedi's life. It was fun to play and all, but little did I know that it would lead me to the two Jedi I now love the most.
We chose them so many times that we began to call them "our Masters" all the time--even in real life--and we began to get attached to them. Eventually, we discarded the "randomly choosing" rule and decided to keep Depa and Eeth as our Masters every time we played. Though Eeth wasn't my "Master," I've always liked him too, just as much as I love my own "Master," Depa. At first, I was interested in him solely because he was a Zabrak. But, as it was with everybody I now love, I had to find out more about him, and then I began to like him "personally." I've studied everything about Eeth that I can. It's impossible for me to know every single thing about Eeth's history, but I've done my best in lumping everything together that I do know, and putting it into a biography. Of course, I'd still love to learn more about him, if the opportunity presents itself, so maybe one day the biography will be longer and more detailed. (Yes, his name is spelled wrong on that game card.) Eeth was born on "The Smugglers' Moon" of Nar Shaddaa, a moon that orbits the Hutt planet Nal Hutta. He wasn't discovered by the Jedi Order until a Master who was visiting Nar Shaddaa found him and realized his Force potential. By this time, he was already four years old. When the Master brought him to the Jedi Council for testing, they told him that he was too old to begin training. However, being a Zabrak, he had very strong willpower, mental discipline, and endurance to physical pain, as all of his species do. These traits eventually convinced the Jedi Council that they were wrong about him, and they admitted him to the order after all. It is unknown at this time who trained Eeth during his apprenticeship at the Jedi Temple. Many years later, after rising through the Jedi ranks, Eeth came to sit on the High Jedi Council himself. He sat with Chalactan Jedi Master Depa Billaba on his right, and on the left was Quermian Jedi Master Yarael Poof. He was one of the twelve Jedi on the council in the very last days of the Order and the Republic. He even witnessed the request of training, and the testing, of future Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker, though he was on the Council for a long time after that as well. He trained a Padawan named Sharad Hett, who later left the Jedi Order to marry a Tusken female and fathered A'sharad Hett, a Jedi Knight and Tusken Raider. Eeth used a green lightsaber, and always did as far as is known. His face and body were adorned with Zabrak tattoos, as given to members of the Zabrak clans of Iridonia. Because Eeth was a member of the Jedi Order and was not raised as a member of a Zabrak clan, it is unknown when he received his tattoos. Logic says that it was most likely when he received a Jedi Master or became a Jedi Knight, or at the time of another significant event in his Jedi life, though this has not been proved. He wore the traditional tan tabards of the Jedi, topped by a dark brown robe. The garment he usually wore beneath the tabards was a darker brown color and had a rounded collar. His hair was long and black, and held in the front by two small bands, in a style that has been worn by quite a few members of his species. Eeth was presumed killed during the Jedi Purge, though no proof of this can be found.
